Brynn Elcock is an Analyst with AMS Planning & Research in the Southport, CT office. At AMS, Brynn engages in business planning, strategic planning, facilities planning, and market research. With a background in arts and business, Brynn brings a unique blend of creative and analytical skills to her work. She regularly conducts interviews, creates survey instruments, develops operating models, and utilizes secondary data sources to inform decision-making and drive change.
Brynn’s experience spans from large-scale planning projects with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (DC) and the Perelman Center at the World Trade Center (NY), to projects focused on augmenting the arts in smaller communities including with the Village of Saranac Lake (NY), the Mammoth Lakes Foundation (CA), and the Town of Breckenridge (CO). She recently completed benchmarking analyses for the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (PA), Vancouver Civic Theatres (BC), City of Rochester (NY), and Cal Performances (CA), and she developed comprehensive market research reports for the New York Botanical Garden (NY), Proctors (NY), and Van Wezel Foundation (FL). Brynn has also assisted in AMS’s work with Arena Stage (DC), Maryland State Arts Council (MD), and the University of Virginia (VA).
In addition to her consulting role, Brynn serves as the lead analyst for AMS Analytics. In this capacity, she analyzes operational data for 40+ major performing arts centers across the United States and Canada, and assists in developing annual reports on industry trends.
As an active member of Americans for the Arts, Brynn was awarded a 2018 Emerging Leaders Scholarship to attend the AFTA Annual Convention, and accepted an invitation to host a Creative Conversation in honor of National Arts & Humanities Month.
Prior to joining AMS, Brynn graduated from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management with an M.S. in Management. She also holds a B.M. in Piano Performance and a Certificate in Arts Administration from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. A passionate advocate for social impact, Brynn founded Classical Connections, an Indiana University based organization which partners conservatory students with underserved areas of the community. Outside of AMS, Brynn is a pianist, marathoner, and traveler.
