Charles M. Schulz Museum
A museum dedicated to interpreting the life and works of one of America's favorite cartoonists - Charles M. Schulz - opened in August 2002 in Santa Rosa, California. The 27,000-square foot facility chronicles the development of Schulz characters, beginning with the appearance of Peanuts in 1950, and gives visitors an intimate view of the environment in which Mr. Schulz conceived his beloved cartoon personalities.
AMS has been involved in several facets of the project, starting with a marketing feasibility study and attendance projections. The firm then developed a management plan and cost estimates for operation of the facility.
Involved in establishing preliminary building requirements and solidifying the exhibit concept, AMS also facilitated architectural selection for the project, acted as project administrator during the design phase, and conducted the search for an Executive Director.
