City of Henderson Approves Site for Science Center

December 16, 2009

The City Council of Henderson, Nevada, approved a lot of City-owned land as the future location for the Henderson Space and Science Center.  The 160-acre lot will be a mixed use development with the science center as the site's centerpiece.  Earlier this year, the science center received a committment of $21 million from the City.

As part of the team team that conducted a study of the center's feasibility, AMS Planning & Research focused on a market analysis, the competitive environment for museums and other tourist attractions, asessment of funding and financing options, and construction and operating expense estimates.
