Uptown Tenderloin Museum Moves Forward

February 16, 2010

sunset-the-cadillac cropped.jpgThe City of San Francisco has committed $20,000 in funding for the creation of the Uptown Tenderloin Museum.  The proposed museum will have exhibits on the Uptown Tenderloin district's unique history, including the legendary Black Hawk jazz club, the Wally Heider Stuiods (which recorded the Grateful Dead and Crosby, Stills and Nash among many others), and the influence of the Southeast Asian immigrant community on the neighborhood.  AMS Planning & Research provided consulting services and a market research study.
