AMS Planning & Research was engaged by Fisher Dachs Associates (FDA) of New York, as part of a larger study team to assess the opportunity to construct a new Performing Arts Center in Naples, Florida for the Board of the Bayshore Center for the Performing Arts (CAPA).
Working closely with FDA and Donnell Consultants Incorporated, AMS reviewed all pertinent documentation and then developed and administered a survey for potential users of the facility in order to gain a better understanding for the demand for performing arts space in Naples. Comparable Facilities Case Studies were developed for venues in four communities with facilities similar in nature and composition to the proposed facility in Naples. Data was collected through secondary research and leadership interviews with the organizations to gain an understanding of best practices, as well as challenges these communities have faced in developing a new civic and performance venue. An operating pro-forma was created to project staffing and related operating finances for the proposed performing arts center.
