AMS Planning & Research was engaged by the Borough of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, to work in tandem with the W. Main Street Task Force in determining a unified vision for the former Masonic Temple and performing arts center, at 311 W. Main Street, as articulated in the ordinance formulating the Task Force’s creation. The business plan AMS designed was intended to provide the Borough with an implementable plan that will guide them as they move forward.
The project was designed in three phases: Phase I, a Situation Analysis, consisted of background review, key informant interviews, a public meeting to define success, public survey (to gauge community support and interest) and a potential user survey and interviews. Phase II consisted of a market analysis, comparable facilities research and an activity profile. Phase III included operating recommendations, the business plan and a public review and comment period.
By design, the creation of the business plan was a collaborative effort on the part of Borough staff, the W. Main Street Task Force and AMS.
